Here's a recent report on research that validates the article above...

<a href="http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/04/070419095607.htm" rel="nofollow">Red wine is being widely touted for its health benefits, but not all red wines may act the same according to researchers</a>.

When the test results are in, I seriously doubt the even the highest ranking red wines will have near the resveratrol content or the anxtioxidant power of NingXia Red.

A scientist is Greece recently tested 8 essential oils and found that thyme was the most effective and was able to almost completely eliminate MRSA within 60 minutes. News headlines read "<a href="http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/03/100330210942.htm" rel="nofollow">Essential oils could be a cheap and effective alternative to antibiotics and potentially used to combat drug-resistant hospital superbugs.</a>"

Duh! But as long as hospital administrators are rewarded based on the number of full patient beds, expect them to embrace MRSA infections rather than do something truly effective about the issue.

What readers should glean from this is how far ahead of the curve Young Living is on the MRSA issue. I wish that the Greek scientist would have tested the Young Living blend RC...that would have really shocked him.

Comment on Cough Syrup as Useless on Adults as It Is on Kids by Carol Wickett

I would usually have a chronic cough once or twice a year lasting for several weeks. Nothing over the counter would help for long and I didn't like how cough drops and syrups would make me feel after awhile. Now, since using Young Living products, I rarely get chronic coughs, but if I do I take a teaspoon of agave and add 3 drops of lemon and one drop of Thieves internally. I also take the Inner Defense. And I am over the cough in no time.

Pop Quiz

All this fascination and misdirected attention to red wine indicates that:

A. reporters are a bunch of drunks?
B. researchers attempt to hide their own guilty consciences about consuming adult beverages?
C. Ted Kennedy has never voted against funding a wine study?
D. Big Wine contributes lots of study funds.
E. All of the above

(Apologies to readers from Massachusetts...couldn’t resist.)

I just removed a 'sticky' place on my desk at work using the Thieves Spray (out of the oil at work, need to restock my supply) but thought I would try the spray since I had it and it worked too. Then I remembered that I had some of the Thieves Cleaner in a spray bottle and used it to finish up and now the sticky place is gone!

Well I definitely need to go out and get me some more spray bottles! I also have a problem with ants and am looking forward to the Peppermint spray getting rid of them. I will have to get me a spray bottle for Purification oil too. We use the Purification to keep mosquitos from eating us alive during the Spring and Summer, and on the dogs instead of the toxic flea/tick stuff.

I love the Thieves Household Cleaner too! I only have one spray bottle, but it is used everywhere... kitchen, bathroom, garage, and on everything... counters, sinks, cabinets... I did have two bottles, one for 'light' cleaning and one for 'heavier' cleaning, but I took one bottle to work to clean my desk and it is still there because the other ladies that I work with absolutely love it! With the THC, I no longer have to worry about getting a headache everytime I clean the bathroom or the kitchen. My only real question would be...how much should I use in a load of laundry?

While we are on the topic of Thieves...I love the disinfectant spray. The ladies I work with used to be very bad about spraying toxic deoderant sprays and burning candles to get rid of odors. But after I complained a million times of all of that stuff giving me a headache, and me suggesting the Thieves disinfectant spray instead, I have finally gotten them trained to come get the bottle off of my desk if they need it.

Interesting Update:
The drug company spotlighted in the above-referenced Business 2.0 article was Cubist Pharmaceuticals for its drug Cubicin and its chief scientific officer Francis Tally. The latest issue of Forbes has this <a href="http://members.forbes.com/forbes/2007/0226/036a.html" rel="nofollow">quasi-obituary</a>: “In a tragic coda to our feature on drug-resistant bacteria, pioneering researcher Francis Tally died recently from a <strong>bacterial infection</strong> at 66.” [emphasis added] Interesting indeed! If only Mr. Tally would have had an odd essential oil or two to play with.
